I was born in New York City in 1964. My father is a jazz musician and tuba legend, Howard Johnson. See more about him here, www.hojozone.com. My mother is also a performer who was born in Wales and is now a country singer in Kingman, Arizona.

I spent some time growing up in Hollywood and some time in Massillon, Ohio, before coming to live with my father and continue acting which I did as a child and into early adulthood. I'm a 1982 graduate of the High School of Performing Arts ("the 'Fame' school").
